Human head, h. 5 cm. Fine incisions reveal the eyes, nose and mouth. The Tlatilco culture, whose name means "the place of hidden things" in Nahuatl, developed in the Mexico Valley between 1200 and 800 BC. Its sculptures are mainly terracotta or ceramic representing female figures with generous forms and accentuated attributes
