TEOTIHUACAN, Mexique, 450-750 ap. J.-C.
Human head pendant, h. 5 cm. This human head certainly represented a high-ranking dignitary, recognizable by his headdress and thick earrings. The eyes, the nose and the mouth are drawn by notches. The arch of the eyebrows can be seen. The triangular face is topped by a headdress/crown with stripes. The suspension hole inside the headdress/crown indicates that this object was worn as a pendant.
