TEOTIHUACAN, Mexique, 450-750 ap. J.-C.
Human head, h. 3.5 cm. This human head certainly represented a high ranking dignitary, recognizable by his headdress and earrings. The face is triangular in shape. The eyes, the nose and the mouth are drawn by notches. The headdress is decorated with a circular shape in relief. The mouth seems to be smiling. One of the earrings is broken. The whole part of the face has a large crack. The suspension hole in the headdress indicates that this object was worn as a pendant.
